New Board Members Sworn In and Entertained by 1st Graders
Mr. Jimmy Heideman was sworn in for his first term as a Lonedell School District Board Member on April 15, 2019. He joins returning members Brad Rucker, Joe Tharp, Jason B ailey, Tonya Cole, Travis Corwin and reelected member Daniel Short on the board. The swearing in ceremony was led by Superintendent Jenny Ulrich. After the members took their oaths, Scott Schneider was able to step down after a 12 year tenure on the board of education. "We appreciate Mr. Schneider's dedication, time and hard work over these years," stated Mrs. Ulrich. With all of the members present, officers were elected. Serving as President will be Brad Rucker, Vice President will be Joe Tharp, and Secretary/Treasuer will be Daniel Short.
These new board members were greeted by some young smiling faces who showed off their newly written books about animals. Kolbie C., Cast L, Brooke H., and Reese C. recently took part in the 1st Grade Meet The Author event. They read their books, spoke about what they learned, and got quite a few laughs from the board and audience. We couldn't be prouder of these little once for being brave enough to stand in front of a group of adults and talk about what they have learned.
