Easter Dinner Enjoyed by FACS Class

Students in Mrs. Knickmeyer's FACS Class were able to enjoy a wonderful dinner on the last day before spring break.  The students worked in four groups to learn how to boil eggs, dye them and then used them for decorations on their tables for the meal. Each group was responsible for one dessert and one side dish. They were asked to find recipes and create the shopping lists.  They then had two days to prepare their dishes.  All this preparation culminated with a delicious meal enjoyed by each of the students. The meal consisted of turkey, ham, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes with gravy, salad, rolls, and a plethora of desserts that included cherry pie, lemon pie, cheesecake and strawberry shortcake. 

"The students had a great time and left with full bellies and lots of pride," stated Mrs. Knickmeyer.  These middle schoolers could probably treat us all to a great dinner!
