Request for Bids for Speech-Language Pathologist Services
- Introduction:
Lonedell R14 School District, hereinafter referred to as "the Client," is seeking proposals from qualified Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide comprehensive speech and language services. The purpose of this Request for Bid is to solicit competitive offers for the provision of speech-language pathology services to special education students estimated to consist of a flexible but set schedule of approximately 25 hours but not to exceed 29 unless mutually agreed upon. If jointly agreed upon, this agreement can be extended for up to 2 additional years. (26/27 and 27/28)
- Background:
Lonedell R14 is a K-8 district located in rural Franklin County serving an average of 300 students.
- Scope of Work:
The selected Speech-Language Pathologist(s) will be responsible for:

- Providing therapy sessions to address speech, language, and communication goals in person
to eligible students.

- Collaborating with other professionals, such as educators, healthcare providers, and family members, to support clients' overall development and progress.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, treatment plans, progress reports, Medicaid reporting, and other relevant documentation.
- Adhering to ethical and professional standards of practice in speech-language pathology.
- Qualifications:
The Client seeks proposals from qualified Speech-Language Pathologists who meet the following criteria:

- Hold a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Possess current licensure/certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Demonstrate experience working with [describe the specific population or conditions, if applicable].
- Hold a current NPI number for Medicaid reporting.
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- As part of the contract, the provider will be responsible for completing all required district online training, such as 'Smarter Adults, Safer Children,' on their own time. This training is essential and must be completed prior to fulfilling contract obligations.
- Proposal Submission:
Interested individuals or firms are invited to submit a proposal that includes the following:

- Cover letter introducing the individual or firm and expressing interest in providing speech-language pathology services to the Client.
- Curriculum vitae or resume detailing qualifications, experience, and relevant certifications/licenses.

- Description of proposed approach to delivering speech-language pathology services, including assessment procedures, treatment methodologies, and collaboration strategies.
- Proposed fee structure, including rates for assessments, therapy sessions, and any additional services.
- References from previous clients or employers, preferably those in similar settings or serving similar populations.
- Evaluation Criteria:
Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

- Qualifications and experience of the Speech-Language Pathologist(s).
- Clarity and feasibility of the proposed approach to service delivery.
- Alignment with the Client's mission and objectives.
- Cost-effectiveness of the proposed fee structure.
- References.

The Client reserves the right to reject any or all proposals received in response to this Request for Bid, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the proposals received, and to negotiate with any proposer.
