Student Athletes Honored At Sports Banquet
Student athletes were recently honored at the annual Sports Banquet. Students who participated in Volleyball, Basketball, and Cheerleading were gathered to celebrate their accomplishments. The students were treated to dinner and recoginition by their coaches. This year, former Lonedell Student, Anna Reed presented as the special guest speaker. Anna played both volleyball and basketball at Lonedell. She moved on to St. Clair High School, Jefferson College, and Missouri University where she played softball.
For our 8th graders, this is their last Sports Banquet at Lonedell, as they will move on to varying high schools. It is always a special event for them. From the group of 8th graders, Mr. and Miss Lonedell is traditionally chosen. This year, Gage W. and Madi L. were awarded those titles. Austin B. received a special honor for reaching 1,000 career points. We look forward to watching these students play high school sports for the next four years, as well as watching the growth of those who will be staying with us a bit longer.
