Fine Arts Fair Successful Again

The 15th Annual Fine Arts Fair was held on Tuesday, April 2.  This year the musical portion featured the theme, Where In the World is Lonedell, with songs from all around the world, instruments you may not have seen before, and a fair amount of square dancing.  The students have been practicing for months on their individual and group performances.  The practice really paid off.  "The Fine Arts Show went fantastic.  The students showed up with enthusiasm!  They sang, played instruments, and square danced wonderfully!  I am very proud of each student and the great success of the show.  It was also fun to see the students, teachers, and Mr. Dierker join in on the fun and square dance," states Mrs. Miller.

Aside from their musical talents, the artwork of both staff and students did not disappoint.  Mrs. Hicks has been collecting special pieces from all grade levels throughout the year, also featuring a theme of art styles from around the world.  These items range from crafted totem poles, handmade pottery, and drawings, all made during her art time with students.  Staff displayed drawings, quilts, and wall hangings.  The items were displayed throughout the school with the help of several volunteers.  "It was great to see what creations she was able to teach the kids.  It was a great night of family fun and I look forward to doing it again next year," stated Miller.  We wholeheartedly agree!
